[:it]Stiamo assistendo ad un’evoluzione incredibile negli ultimi anni, nell”industria e nell’innovazione delle nuove tecnologie di stampa 3d. Oggi, infatti, abbiamo la possibilità di stampare oggetti 3D su ogni tipo di supporto e materiale.

Il prodotto che ha deciso di stampare l’azienda texana, la “Solid Concepts“, è stata la copia di una pistola Colt 45mm M1911 (replica della pistola d’ordinanza nell’esercito Usa) la prima ad essere realizzata in acciaio con una stampante 3D. L’azienda ha poi testato l’arma sparando diversi colpi, dimostrando la qualità e la precisione della copia realizzata tramite 3D printing. La copia della Colt 45, è divisa da 33 parti in acciaio inossidabile con l’impugnatura in fibra di carbonio.

Fra pochi anni assisteremo a un vero e proprio uso commerciale di queste tecnologie, entrando in ogni applicazione di vita quotidiana. Se proviamo ad immaginare un futuro secondo l’esempio che ci ha proposto l’azienda texana, fra pochi anni andremo a leggere sulle insegne pubblicitarie dei negozi:” Stampa la tua pistola 3D in 30 secondi”, oppure “Stampa la pistola del tuo super eroe preferito”. Scenari commerciali e sociali che cambieranno le nostre vite, per ora speriamo di vedere l’utilizzo di questa nuova tecnologia in esempi più “umani”, utilizzandola magari per scopi sociali.

Ecco la prima pistola in 3D tutta in metallo

[:en]We are witnessing an incredible evolution in the industry and innovation of new 3D printing technologies in recent years. Today, in fact, we have the ability to print 3D objects on any type of support and material.

The product that the Texan company, “Solid Concepts”, decided to print was the copy of a Colt 45mm M1911 pistol (replica of the service pistol in the US Army) the first to be made in steel with a printer 3D. The company then tested the weapon by firing several shots, demonstrating the quality and accuracy of the 3D printed copy. The copy of the Colt 45, is divided by 33 stainless steel parts with a carbon fiber handle.

In a few years we will see a real commercial use of these technologies, entering every application of daily life. If we try to imagine a future according to the example that the Texan company offered us, in a few years we will read on the advertising signs of the shops: “Print your 3D gun in 30 seconds”, or “Print the gun of your super favorite hero”. Commercial and social scenarios that will change our lives, for now we hope to see the use of this new technology in more “human” examples, perhaps using it for social purposes.
