How to create Delay Effector in Houdini

This new tutorial by Jason Harmon, shows us how to create a delay effector in Houdini with CHOP and MOP, similar to the effect of Cinema 4D, in Houdini using channel and motion operators. A lightweight approximation of the Delay Effector from C4D. Intended to be used with the MOPs toolset in Houdini. Works in any version of Houdini from FX to Apprentice. I’ll also include an example file (Indie version.)

How to create Delay Effect animation in Houdini?

This effect is widely used to animate objects in Motion Design, you can now use this configuration in Houdini to make your own animations, and create delay effects for use with the MOP toolset, this setup works with all versions of Houdini from FX to Apprentice.

This HDA will add a spring or jiggle effect to incoming float attributes (it is not intended to work with vector attributes). It is best applied to the mops_falloff attribute before applying any MOPs modifiers.
