The Houdini engine, which had already been released as a plugin to be used in several 3D software such as Maya, Unity, Unreal and 3ds Max, has been released the beta version also available for Maxon Cinema 4D.
Houdini Engine per C4D
As a development partner for Houdini’s engine, Maxon announced that the Houdini engine for C4D is now being offered as a public beta.
Houdini Engine will allow C4D artists to use Houdini’s potential directly in Cinema 4D. The plugin will likely bring a change in the way it will work in Cinema 4D, offering simulations, complex digital assets, procedurals and node-based workflow.
If you decide to take part in the beta, you need to keep in mind that it is software in beta, even if the plugin is already stable enough, the system crashes will not fail. Do not install the plugin on a system that will be used for daily work.
