Chappie is the next film written and directed by Neill Blomkamp, starring Sharlto Copley, Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, and Sigourney Weaver. The film is scheduled for release on March 6, 2015, for Columbia Pictures.
Chappie is Neill Blomkamp‘s third feature film as a director. He co-wrote the script together with fellow Terri Tatchell of District 9. Filming began in late October 2013, Johannesburg, South Africa, and ended in February 2014.
