Photometric Lighting vs Global Illumination in Maya

When working with Mental-Ray, many times we have used Final Gather almost exclusively. In this tutorial I would like to explore two less common methods of illuminating our scenes, the Global Illumination and Photometric Lighting.

In this tutorial we will analyze these two methods, and compare their positive and negative virtues.
