If you love the world of racing and want to enrich your Blender scenes with a detailed 3D model, we’re sharing this project created by Stefeliga Flavius: the F1 2022 3D Model, a resource that’s truly worth downloading and experimenting with.
Available on Gumroad under the “pay what you want” formula (you can get it for free or leave a donation to the author), this model faithfully reproduces the lines and proportions of a modern Formula 1 car.
What’s included in the model
The file is about 135 MB and contains a complete 3D asset ready to be imported into Blender.
The author carefully modeled every detail of the body and aerodynamic shapes, making this model perfect for:
- Photorealistic renders and lighting showcases
- Motion graphics scenes or promotional videos
- Shading and texturing exercises for students and artists
- Lighting setup tests with HDRI
How to use it in Blender
- Download the file from Gumroad.
After unzipping it, check the format (usually .blend, .fbx, or .obj). - Import into Blender.
Go to File → Import → FBX/OBJ (if it’s not a .blend file) and make sure to keep the correct scale. - Check materials and textures.
If included, link the PBR maps (Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, Normal).
Alternatively, you can create your own custom shaders in the Shader Editor to achieve a more stylized or branded look. - Add realistic lighting.
Use a free HDRI from the Download section of 3dart.it:

Use Cycles for photorealistic results or Eevee for quick previews.
Set appropriate render samples and a cinematic camera framing.
The F1 2022 Model by Stefeliga Flavius is a free resource that every 3D artist should add to their collection.
Perfect for those working with Blender, but easily adaptable to other 3D software as well, this model combines attention to detail, ease of use, and creative flexibility.
Download it, experiment with new lighting setups, and share your renders with the 3dart.it community!
